Supply Chain Director--Hybrid 
 
Are you a strategic and results-driven Supply Chain Director who has proven turn around experience?  If so, this opportunity may be of interest to you. You will lead a team of up to 40 professionals across three Midwest locations.  You will shape and execute a forward-looking supply chain strategy, with a future focus of leveraging automaton and predictive supply chain analytics experience to strengthen sourcing, procurement, forecasting, and inventory performance while delivering measurable cost savings and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Innovation
  • Define and execute an enterprise supply chain strategy centered on AI, automation, and predictive analytics
  • Advance innovative sourcing approaches and sustainable procurement practices
  • Lead enterprise MRO procurement, supplier negotiations, and performance optimization

Digital Enablement & Analytics
  • Evaluate and implement ROI-driven technologies, including RPA, machine learning, and predictive analytics
  • Translate supply chain data into actionable business insight
  • Guide organizational capability building as AI-enabled tools are deployed

Operational Excellence
  • Provide leadership across materials planning, purchasing, sourcing, and inventory management
  • Drive improvement in inventory turns, past due orders, supplier performance, and meeting production goals through the use of lean analysis, system optimization and AI tools.
  • Direct ERP integration and ensure enterprise-wide process optimization
  • Monitor performance through real-time dashboards, metrics, and KPIs

Organizational Leadership
  • Build and develop a high-performing, analytically driven supply chain organization
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross-functional partnership
  • Collaborate closely with operations, finance, sales, logistics, IT, and solution development leaders

Qualifications
  • Seeking candidates who reside in either the Detroit area or in northern IN
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of experience manufacturing with a concentration in supply chain.  Experience in operations strongly preferred.
  • Must have experience in either the automotive or chemical industry or in distribution.
  • Demonstrated change management experience including motivating a team to embrace change in how future work will be conducted.
  • Success in process optimization and AI-enabled procurement transformation using predictive analytics preferred
  • Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) and/or machine learning algorithms(MLA) a plus
  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, inventory management, and supplier strategy
  • Experience in directed-buy and/or category management environment preferred
